Bus
The Municipality of Rio is connected to the main locations on Elba Island through the public transport service operated by Autolinee Toscane. Line 117 regularly connects Portoferraio, Porto Azzurro, Rio nell’Elba, Rio Marina, and Cavo, making it easy to travel between villages and reach the island’s main arrival points. Services run on weekdays, holidays, and during the school period, with stops distributed throughout the municipal area. Car and Scooter
To move around independently, car, scooter, and bicycle rental services are available in the main locations of the municipality, particularly in Rio Marina and Cavo. This option makes it easy to reach beaches, trails, and small coves that are less accessible by public transport.
