Tower Beach

Tower Beach lies in the heart of Rio Marina, just beneath the historic Appiani Tower (16th century). The shoreline is about 30 meters long and made of fine gravel and sparkling dark sand, rich in hematite — a living trace of the island’s mining heritage. Sheltered by the ferry pier, the sea is calm and suitable for all swimmers.

Thanks to its central location, the beach is often lively, but a small seaside platform nearby provides extra space. A panoramic walkway above the shore leads in about 300 meters to the charming cove of Marina di Gennaro.
