Cavo is a seaside resort situated at the north-eastern tip of the Island of Elba, within the municipality of Rio. Overlooking the Piombino Channel, it enjoys a panoramic setting with views of the Tuscan coast. The village is renowned for its well-kept promenade and its pebble and shingle beaches lapped by clear, crystal-clear waters.
Since the 19th century, Cavo has been a popular holiday destination thanks to its mild climate and peaceful natural surroundings. Today, it is one of the main gateways to the island thanks to its ferry links with Piombino. The marina and accommodation facilities make it a popular destination, particularly during the summer season. Surrounded by Mediterranean scrub and scenic footpaths, Cavo combines relaxation, nature and seascapes, whilst maintaining the elegant and relaxed atmosphere typical of Elba’s resorts.
